Transferring your domain to Evoned is (mostly) free and easy
In order to transfer your domain to Evoned, follow these four easy steps:
Cancel your registration with your current registrar, host or ISP.
Take into account any cancellation terms (some use a cancellation period of up to three months!). Also, make sure to cancel before any (automatic) renewal date. When applicable, your current registrar will provide you with a transfer code or EPP code. You’ll need this code to transfer your domain to Evoned. Also make sure that your domain isn’t locked or protected for transfer.
Prepare your domain for transfer.
It’s important that the ‘administrative contact’ of the domain is registered to you. Check the email address that is associated with this contact; this is used for correspondence about the transfer. If any administrative changes are needed, we charge €4,50 EURO. You can check your contact information by looking up the domain in the WHOIS-database. Back-up your website and any used databases.
Order your hosting or domain transfer at Evoned.
During the order procedure you’ll be asked if you wish to transfer an existing domain to Evoned. Select this option. When applicable, you’ll be asked for the transfer-key, EPP code or token (those are all different words for the same thing). Finish the order and payment procedure.
Your domain is ready!
When you order a hosting package with your domain, you’ll be able to upload your data to this account immediately after payment. Keep in mind that a domain transfer can take anywhere from 1 up to 5 working days, depending on your current registrar or ISP.
