Yes, once your payment is received by Evoned, you will receive an email from Evoned with all information regarding access to your hosting account to get started. Please keep in mind that it can take up to 48 hours before your URL is globally accessible. Distributing your new URL over the World Wide Web (also called ‘propagation’) takes time. To ensure you can get started with setting up your website immediately, we provide you with a temporary URL and temporary access details to your site so you can immediately start uploading data and configuring your account.
When registering as a customer at Evoned, you’ve entered a valid email address. This email address will be used for all correspondence with Evoned. Furthermore, this email address is associated with an account and password, with which you can login to our client support system.
Yes, if your domain name and / or hosting account isn’t cancelled in time (no later than 30 days before the end of your annual contract period), your domain and account are renewed annually. This is independent of whether or not your payment has been received in time. If you don’t cancel in time, you automatically agree to renewal of the contract period with one (1) year and payment is due. Of course, you are free to cancel before the end of your contract period and / or to move your domain to another provider. However, in those cases you are not eligable for a refund of any of the remaining contract period.
If you want to cancel your hosting account and / or domain at Evoned, you must use the applicable cancellation form as found in our client support system.

IMAP and POP3 are Internet protocols for reading and downloading email. This allows your email client to access email accounts on your disk.
The IMAP protocol provides access for multiple clients to the same mailbox through synchronization with the server – this leaves the email messages on the server for later use via webmail.
The POP3 protocol is used for downloading email messages to your local client and (depending on the settings in your client) removal from the server. The emails are no longer available through webmail or any other email client.
Your webmail can be reached from any computer. Just put “/webmail” behind your URL (eg “www.yourdomain.ext/webmail”). To log in, use the email address and the password you’ve set-up for the email account you would like to access.
Our spam filter SpamAssassin (accessible through cPanel) uses a penalty point system. If your spam filter is switched on, all incoming emails are awarded spam-points, depending on the extent to which they look like spam mail. Mails that receive many points are probably spam mails. If an email gets more points than the warning threshold, the message ** SPAM ** is added to the subject line. If an email gets more points than the removal threshold, the mail is removed. The SpamAssassin spam filter is fully configurable through the cPanel administration panel.
You can also choose to ‘tag’ email as spam only, for delivery in a spam-box or spam-trap.
NOTE: If the warning level and disposal level both have the same value or if the removal level is set to a lower level than the warning level, no warnings will be given to you because the e-mails are removed before being sent to you.
No, you can use the settings of your email account. See the email from Evoned “Your account in Evoned”. PHP’s Sendmail-function is also available. Keep in mind that sending out large quantities or big messages from your website will put a huge strain on our servers. In the case of abuse or when causing interference with server-traffic, Evoned has the right to temporary disable your account. This is for your own protection (possible abuse) and the protection of the quality of service towards our other clients. See also the Terms of Service.
If you are using a broadband internet connection at home you will most probably prefer to use the SMTP server (outgoing mail) on your internet provider. Sometimes the use of other SMTP servers is excluded by providers.

When you create a new email account in cPanel, you then have the opportunity to download a configuration script for your favorite mail client. Running this script will set-up your account. Usage of these scripts is 100% safe, tested and very usefull!
To setup new email accounts, you need to log your cPanel administration panel. The login information can be found in the email called “Your Account at Evoned”. An instruction video on how to create email accounts can be found here: http://www.cpanel.net/media/tutorials/emailaccounts.htm <
The files, such as the index file (eg. index.html or index.php), are stored in the folder ‘/public_html’.
